Non-EEA students mean students who come from outside European Economic Area, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
This scholarship of €5,000 is awarded to eligible students to contribute to their living expenses in Holland. Kindly note that this scholarship can only be received once on the first year of study and not a full-tuition scholarship.
The Holland Scholarship for Non-EEA International Students is eligible to international students who:
- Have nationalities other than of EEA countries
- Are not from Suriname, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
- Do not hold any degree from any educational institution in Holland
- Have excellent grades during previous studies (bachelor/undergraduate)
- Have met the specific requirements of the university of their choice
- Receive admission letter from the university of their choice
How to Apply
You can apply for The Holland Scholarship for Non-EEA International Students after you have been admitted to the university of your choice. So first you need to apply to one of the university listed on the official website of Holland scholarship; check for the programs or fields of study that universities have to offer. After receiving admission letter from the programs of your choice, you can apply for the Holland scholarship. In some universities the admissions officer will send you an invitation email to apply for the scholarship. Some universities also require a motivation letter included in your application. You need to explain convincingly why you are the right candidate in your motivation letter. If you have been granted the scholarship, the university will notify you.
The Holland scholarship is held annually. It takes applications in two rounds. The first round deadline is 2 February and the second round deadline is 1 May. Remember, you can only apply for this scholarship once; so choose carefully. Note that any incomplete applications will be considered failed.
