International students who wish to pursue their postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom can now apply for the Kent Engineering and Digital Arts scholarships at University of Kent. Up to four scholarships will be awarded to qualified and deserving overseas applicants who are interested in undertaking their postgraduate degree within the School of Engineering and Digital Arts at the University of Kent.
The University of Kent started in 1965 with only 150 staff and 500 students. As of today it is home to over 20,000 students and over 4,000 staff. It is known as a forward-thinking research institution that is committed to the transformative power of research and education as well as to the development and support of its students and staff. As a matter of fact, the University of Kent is a leading academic institution with 97% if its research being judged to be of international quality in the Research Excellence Framework. The University has up to three centres in the United Kingdom: Tonbridge; Canterbury; Medway, along with four postgraduate centres all over Europe.
The University is pleased to offer four scholarships for outstanding international students who wish to attend their postgraduate degree program at the University. The Kent Engineering and Digital Arts scholarships at University of Kent are worth £ 4,000 as a one off payment.
The scholarships are available across all postgraduate research and taught programs within the School of Engineering and Digital Arts. The award scheme will be based on outstanding merit.
- Candidates must be in receipt of a conditional offer for either a postgraduate research or taught program in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts for the September 2019 commencement date.
- Candidates must firmly accept an offer by May 31, 2019
- Applicants must fall within the overseas category for fee purposes
Candidates should only apply for the scholarship only after receiving a formal offer to study a program within the School of Engineering and Digital Arts. Please submit your application via the applicant portal.
Once logged in, you must click on “My Scholarships and Bursaries” in which you will see a list of scholarships you are eligible for. Simply click “Apply” and follow the required steps. You’ll need to upload an essay as part of the scholarship application. It should be submitted as either a PDF or word document. Please explain how studying your chosen program at the School of Engineering and Digital Arts will enhance your personal development and career (no longer than 750 words).
Apply before May 31, 2019.
All shortlisted students (with the exception of research applicants) will be asked to attend a selection interview (or via Skype for international candidates)
Qualified students would be expected to undertake reasonable duties to support the external profile of the School of Engineering and Digital Arts. This can be in the form of assistance with Open Days, working with the International Development team, outreach with the local community and promoting the School of Engineering and Digital Arts in their home countries. The grant will be paid at the end of the first three months of registration. This Kent Engineering and Digital Arts scholarships at University of Kent can be held in conjunction with other scholarships/awards offered by the University of Kent.
