If you wish to pursue your postgraduate studies but financial obligations hinder your dreams, then apply for the UWE Chancellor’s scholarship at University of West England. The University welcomes students of all nationalities to apply for this call. This scholarship is open to study any postgraduate program offered by the University.

The University has more than 600 courses on offer, at postgraduate, undergraduate, short course and professional level. The University of West England also offers a broad range of subjects across creative industries, the arts, science, health, law, business, and technology as well as environment disciplines.
Applications for the UWE Chancellor’s scholarship at University of West England are open this year to international student who otherwise couldn’t fund their postgraduate studies without the scholarship. There is only one scholarship available and qualified candidate will be required to undertake an internship program in which they will work within the International Office or other departments. He/she will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University of West England throughout the duration of the course.
Furthermore, upon completion of his/her study, the student will also be expected to be an active member of the alumni network by promoting the University to prospective students.
The award value is worth 50% of tuition fees which will be tenable for one academic year only.
Am I Eligible?
To ensure your scholarship application will be taken into consideration, please make sure you fulfil the following criteria first:
- You must have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree
- You must be in a possession of an unconditional offer or a conditional one where ILETS/equivalent English language is the only condition
- You must be categorised as overseas for fee purposes
- You must be a new student at the University with no previous UK study
- You must not be a sponsored student or receive another award or scholarship
- You must provide official transcripts at the time of application
- You must have obtained an offer to study at the University. Therefore, it is important to apply for the course early so as to ensure your scholarship application will be considered
Because the commencing date is September 2019, the application deadline for the UWE Chancellor’s scholarship at University of West England is on Sunday, April 28 2019.
Candidates who have obtained the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree will receive an invitation to apply via the University welcome portal.
Should you be successful, you will be acknowledged on May 31, 2019 by email.
Qualified candidate will need to pay her/his £ 3,000 deposit to the University within a week of receiving his/her scholarship offer letter. The student will also need to prove that he/she fulfils the UKVI criteria regarding the ability to cover living fees and the other remaining fees.
