This year, the College of Engineering and Computer Science is awarding the 10kclub.io scholarship at Australian National University for the future qualified student who wishes to pursue their degree in Computer Science. The goal of this award scheme is to support later year students who are pursuing a Major or program in a Computer Science discipline. The award is worth $ 10,000 in value and will be paid as a stipend of two equal payments. The payments will be made each semester and will be valid for one year.
The award is funded by Spinify Foundation along with other donors. Spinify is an organisation which provides motivational psychology as well as gamification together to deliver fun at work, improve work productivity and increase staff engagement to drive business outcomes.
- Domestic and overseas students can apply
- Must be undertaking a Major or program in a Computer Science discipline in the Research School of Computer Science and has completed at last 12 units of 3000-level COMP courses
- Must be able to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to innovation, passion and creativity in Computer Science
Qualified student will be responsible for making payment of all tuition costs by the prescribed date as stipulated by the University every session. The awardee is responsible for the costs of study materials, books, accommodation and other expenses.

The application process comprises two stages:
- The Pitch
Candidates submit in video format an expression of interest that outlines their idea in any field related to computer science and addressing any issue that’s relevant. The format and content is at the applicants’ discretion and should require no professional video equipment or editing (smartphone recording is all that’s expected). The Pitch will need to address various questions outlined in the application form. Note that the video must not be no more than 3 minutes. More details are available in the application form.
- Face to Face
Upon successful completion of the first stage, shortlisted students will need to present to the Selection Committee a plan for how they plan to use the award funding to address their problem. This presentation is different to the pitch and must not exceed 15 minutes in length.
