Therefore, the University established a few scholarships for deserving students. Each award will cover full tuition costs. The scholarships will be tenable for the normal duration of the program of study. There is no limit on the eligible programs. All distance learning master’s fields of study offered by the University of Edinburgh are eligible for this call.
The Online Distance Learning scholarships at University of Edinburgh will be available for students who meet the following minimum criteria:
- Applicants must be commencing in session 2019-20 any online learning master’s study program at the University of Edinburgh
- Candidates must be nationals of these countries:
Angola, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Uganda, Vanuatu, Republic of Yemen, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Kiribati, Democratic Republic of Korea, Lao PDR, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Rwanda, São Tomé and Principe, Senegal, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Zambia, Zimbabwe
- Candidates should already have been offered a place to study at the University
- Applicants must have firmly accepted their admission offer or be intending to do so
This award will be granted broadly on the basis of academic merit. Applicants must expect to obtain or must have obtained a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at bachelor level or the international equivalent.
