 University of Edinburgh

University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh opened its gates first in 1583, from Olympic champions and Nobel Laureates to prime ministers and space explorers, the University has long influenced history. The University of Edinburgh became at the forefront of critical thinking and academia following the Scottish Enlightenment of the 18th century. It was because of the perseverance and determination of a group of Edinburgh intellectuals that established facts about the world were constantly as well as boldly challenged. Among this group was an essayist, economist and philosopher, David Hume who was known for his philosophical empiricism and scepticism; the chemist behind the discovery of latent carbon dioxide and heat, Joseph Black; and the Father of Modern Geology, James Hutton.

This year, the University of Edinburgh wishes to help financially-lacking overseas students in pursuing their distance learning Master’s programs at the University. Therefore, the University established a few scholarships for deserving students. Each award will cover full tuition costs. The scholarships will be tenable for the normal duration of the program of study. There is no limit on the eligible programs. All distance learning master’s fields of study offered by the University of Edinburgh are eligible for this call.
