The University of Bradford is now accepting applications for the AHRC Heritage Consortium master’s studentship program. Located in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, the University of Bradford is a plate glass, public university which also happens to be the first university built outside London. It offers a wide range of courses, such as full time and part time degree courses. The courses are designed in response to the changing social, business and environmental landscape.

This year, the University is offering one master’s studentship award for qualified international student. This grants is open for courses commencing in September 2019. The scholarship is linked to the AHRC Heritage Consortium and it will also provide funding to a high quality student. The award will allow the student to focus on developing high level skills as well as competencies for professional and research practice, particularly intended to the Heritage sector. This award targets at prospective postgraduate students, including current students.

The scholarship is worth £ 8,993. The eligibility criteria apply to the value of the funding. It is intended to cover the course costs as well as provide a maintenance award. The scholarship can be used to fund a place on any of the master’s program at the University.

Since the AHRC Heritage Consortium master’s studentship at University of Bradford is aligned to standard wording in the AHRC funding guideline, qualified student will be restricted to tuition costs only.

The applicable courses are as follows:

  • MSc in Landscape Archaeology and Digital Heritage
  • MSc in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation
  • MSc in Human Osteology and Palaeopathology
  • MSc in Archaeological Sciences
  • MA in Archaeology and Identity

Suitability criteria:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of an upper second class honours degree or higher
  • Candidates must first apply to the University of Bradford for admission to an eligible program study
  • Candidates who come from one of the following countries can apply:

Belgium, Bermuda, Anguilla, Austria, British Antarctic Territories, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Bulgaria, Cayman Islands, Croatia, Finland, France, England, Estonia, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), French Guiana, Germany, Sweden, Turks & Caicos Islands, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, the Republic of, Italy, Cyprus (European Union), Czech Republic, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Northern Ireland, Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oenno Islands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Martinique, Mayotte (French Territorial Collectivity), Montserrat, Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Wales
