The University of Reading is a vibrant, sustainable, thriving, broad-based and global institution that is responsive to, stimulated by as well as informing changes in the world. The University consists of four major campuses. The University operates within the terms of its Royal Charter which was granted in 1926. The Council is the governing body of the University and meets at least four times every academic year. The Council is responsible for setting the University’s strategic direction and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements along with approving constitutional changes.

This year, applications are invited for the Master’s scholarships at University of Reading. This award call is arranged by the School of Construction Management and Engineering. There is a wide range of scholarships offered for overseas students. In order to be eligible, candidates must have received an offer of admission to one of the participating master’s courses.

The number of awards that will be granted are mainly on the basis of previous academic accomplishment. It will take the form of a tuition fee discount. The strongest overseas students as well as UK/EU students will be granted up to £ 2,000 or £ 3,000.

The available programs are as follow:

  • MSc Renewable Energy: Technology and Sustainable
  • MSc Project Management
  • MSc Information Management for Design, Construction and Operation
  • MSc Construction in Emerging Economies
  • MSc Design and Management of Sustainable Built Environment
  • MSc Construction Management
  • MSc Construction Cost Management

Suitability criteria:

In order to be eligible to apply, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Students of all nationalities are eligible
  • Applicants must be a commencing master’s student at the University
  • Candidates must have received an offer of admission to study one of the aforementioned master’s courses
  • Candidates must be registered as a full time master’s student enrolling in 2019

How and When to Apply

Eligible students who hold an offer of admission to one of the eligible master’s course will be informed with details on how to submit an application for the Master’s scholarships at University of Reading. The University will also provide eligible candidates details of the terms and conditions under which the call operates.

Students then will be able to access the scholarship application form via their [email protected] applicant portal.

Closing dates:

The master’s scholarships will be granted in two rounds. Applications submitted up to March 1, 2019 are all included in the first round categories. Meanwhile, the second round will review applications submitted until June 1, 2019. Should you be successful in the first round, then you will be eligible for consideration in round two, assuming you still hold a valid offer of admission to one of the eligible master’s courses.
